If you have children it's inevitable...

that one day you are going to be faced with how to get that hard, sticky candy or gum off of your furniture (or even off of the seat in your vehicle). In the October 17th issue of FamilyCircle I found a "sweet solution" (as they called it). With the "candy" holiday just around the corner this very well might be a life saver for you (no pun intended).

Just follow these 4 simple steps and you'll be on your way to candy-free furniture.

1. Rub with an ice cube to solidify.
2. Carefully remove with a dull knife (butter knife works best).
3. Dab with diluted laundry detergent (I suggest mixing it in a small water bottle and spraying it on the spot).
4. Pat with a damp cloth.

Now put all the candy out of reach. :o)

Let me know if you try this and if it works as good as they claim. Or maybe you have a better solution.
